Blizzard Entertainment has officially unveiled Diablo IV Season 14, titled Season of Death Awakening, scheduled to launch on June 30. Diablo IV is available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Battle.net.

Following the catastrophic events of Lord of Hatred and the immense loss of life driven by Mephisto’s wrath, a mysterious supernatural threat has awakened within the realm of Pandemonium – the same battleground where Malthael, the Angel of Death, was previously defeated in Diablo III. The upcoming season introduces a brand-new narrative questline centered around this structural anomaly, alongside massive endgame reworks and a limited-time Overwatch crossover event featuring earnable cosmetics like the Kiriko Pet Bundle.
The update introduces several major structural additions, headlined by Pandemonium Ruptures opening across Sanctuary. Players must hunt down massive Realmwalkers to breach portals into the new Deathtoll Chamber, a time-attack endgame gauntlet where maintaining rapid combat momentum expands a central ritual circle for high-tier rewards. Gear progression is receiving a fundamental overhaul; standard Unique item drops now have a dynamic chance to roll as or be upgraded directly to Mythic quality, decentralizing the power creep previously locked behind a tiny handful of items. Additionally, competitive leaderboards are officially leaving their beta phase to award top players exclusive Halo cosmetics, while a dedicated Solo Self-Found (SSF) mode launches to offer a pure, trade-free competitive environment with its own isolated ladder boards.
To support the launch, Blizzard is executing a multi-tiered free-to-play promotional framework targeting new consumers on PC and consoles. From June 30 through July 7, newcomers can download the base game and trial the fresh Warlock class up to level 30, with all earned progression carrying over to the full title upon purchase. This introductory event will seamlessly transition on July 8 into a broader Battle.net free trial window, allowing players to sample multiple core classes and continue their demon-slaying progress.
