Cygames and Cygames Osaka have officially released a playable trial version of Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok. The standalone sampler is available immediately across PlayStation 4 & 5, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2, giving players an early look at the upcoming expansion’s mechanical overhauls and content loops ahead of its July launch.

The preview slice separates its content across three distinct core modules. Story Mode allows participants to navigate an early sequence of the narrative campaign, while Tutorial Mode breaks down fundamental exploration mechanics and combat controls. For those seeking multiplayer, Quest Mode permits solo play or cross-platform cooperative matchmaking across a selection of four distinct missions. Clearing the first three challenges unlocks a final battle titled Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer, which gives players their first hands-on experience with Summons – a completely new battle mechanic introduced for this release. Completing these modes awards exclusive in-game items that carry over into the retail version.
Compared to previous public beta builds, the developers have adjusted specific combat parameters for the demo, lowering the health and attack values for the Aquila Ruby Golem boss in the final quest. The main menu user interface now showcases updated character artwork, and the Star Sword Sovereign, Seofon, has been added to the playable trial roster. While multiplayer functions do not require a active PlayStation Plus subscription on Sony systems, a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is mandatory to access online matchmaking on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Alongside the demo rollout, Cygames outlined deployment parameters for the full expansion. The Endless Ragnarok narrative campaign unlocks dynamically once players finish The Tale of Bahamut’s Rage quest within the base game, which simultaneously opens up Chaos-difficulty end-game content. Furthermore, a specialized solo trial mode called The Conflux can be accessed via a new side mission starting in Chapter 6. This gauntlet mode operates across multiple progression cycles, rewarding unique weapon forging elements, sigil upgrade components, and rare awakening materials as players climb to deeper tiers.
About the Game
Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is an action role-playing game expansion that introduces six extra playable characters alongside major quality-of-life adjustments and game balance overhauls. Fighters like Beatrix and Eustace unlock via traditional Crewmate Cards, whereas bosses Gallanza and Maglielle require story-specific cutscene progression, and Fraux and Fediel join directly through the new narrative.
The full expansion launches on July 9 for PlayStation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, with an exhaustive developer livestream scheduled for July 8 to detail the final day-one patch notes.
