Publisher Daybreak Game Company and developer Game Jawn have announced that EverQuest Legends will officially launch for PC on July 28, 2026. Priced at $19.99, the base purchase includes a one-month game subscription, after which access converts to a recurring monthly fee of $9.99.

Designed as a mechanical reimagining of the landmark 1999 MMORPG, EverQuest Legends maintains the original aesthetic framework – preserving classic zone architectures, retro spell visuals, original loot tables, and the classic soundtrack – while restructuring core systems for casual and solo audiences. Rather than forcing reliance on high-capacity multiplayer dynamics, the title balances all baseline and end-game content for independent progression. Grouping structures have been tightened to accommodate a maximum of four players, while raid content has been downscaled to support micro-crews of up to eight participants.
To offset the missing manpower of traditional server raids, character progression introduces multi-classing pipelines where players can seamlessly combine up to three active classes simultaneously out of 560 total variations. This structural power creep is bolstered by a gear customization loop allowing items to be upgraded up to a +10 threshold, with modular options to swap or compound click, focus, and weapon proc traits.
At launch, the server geography defaults to the Antonia era (pre-Kunark content), while baseline character creation unlocks 15 playable fantasy races, including later-era additions like the Iksar, Frogloks, and Kerran.
Pre-orders for EverQuest Legends are live immediately, granting consumers entry into a closed beta phase running from July 1 to July 21, alongside character name reservation rights and the exclusive in-game title The Legend.
