DaRmaZat Independent developer Ghostcase has confirmed that its upcoming first-person psychological horror game, Hariti, will be featured in the global broadcast of the Mundo Gamer Showcase 2026 on June 20. The title joins a lineup of over 30 independent productions representing studios from more than 20 countries. Ahead of the showcase presentation, a playable PC demo with English interface and subtitle support has been launched on Steam as part of Steam Next Fest, remaining publicly accessible through June 22, 2026.
Set within an abandoned, Chinese-styled medical facility, the narrative follows a mother searching for her missing daughter. The production distances itself from standard Western horror tropes by centering its environmental aesthetics and entity designs entirely on Chinese folklore. The game’s title and central themes draw directly from the Buddhist mythological figure Hariti – a child-devouring demon who transitioned into a divine protector of mothers and children – incorporating this thematic duality into both the core storyline and the atmospheric progression.
Hariti‘s gameplay emphasizes survival-horror elements, utilizing deliberate silence and environmental tension prior to paranormal events. While navigating the hospital’s corridors, players are not completely defenseless; the gameplay incorporates active defensive confrontation mechanics where tactical choices dictate survival outcomes.
