DaRmaZat Super Rare Originals and independent developer Inresin have announced that their peaceful puzzle-adventure title, Gecko Gods, will debut on the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 25. To reward early adopters, players who already own the game on the original Nintendo Switch will be eligible to download the upgraded Switch 2 version at no additional charge.
The release coincides with a major content drop arriving across all existing platforms. Titled The Forgotten Cove, this free expansion adds an entirely new island to the overworld layout alongside unique cosmetic skins to alter the central lizard’s appearance.
About the Game
Gecko Gods tasks you, as a little gecko, with exploring a quiet archipelago by maneuvering a small boat between islands, climbing weathered ruins, and solving intuitive environmental puzzles at your own pace. Intentionally avoiding combat and tense timers, the experience instead relies on ambient soundscapes and gentle exploration cues provided by the local wildlife.
Thanks to the creature’s unique physical mechanics, movement remains fluid and unrestricted. You can scale vertical cliff faces, run along cave ceilings, and crawl through tight architectural ruins to catch hidden insects, or to discover ancient relics and forgotten temples.
