Stockholm-based developer Envar Games has officially launched its highly anticipated debut IP, Witchspire, into Early Access on PC via Steam. Acting as the first original title from the newly formed standalone games division of art outsourcing giant Envar Entertainment – celebrated for its structural co-development contributions to industry titans like League of Legends and Overwatch 2 – the multiplayer title arrives on a wave of massive community momentum, having secured well over 300,000 player wishlists since its initial summer announcement.

In Witchspire, you are dropped directly into a hand-crafted fantasy world currently threatened by a spreading, malevolent corruption. Built from the ground up for cooperative coven multiplayer, the game lets you forge your own custom spellcaster, choose a starting faction coven for unique passive bonuses, and seamlessly explore the wilderness on foot or via personal flight broomsticks, heavily augmented by rapid spirit jumps and short-range magical blinks.
The Early Access launch opens up the lush Meadows and the harsh Shuddersands biomes, where magic completely redefines your core survival loops. Instead of hitting nodes with conventional tools, you can call down ore-rich cosmic comets or cast explosive spells that harvest entire forests in a single flash, using those raw materials to construct custom witchy hangouts with an innovative Astral Projection building mechanic that lets your spirit fly freely to snap structures together.
Combat requires you to find the perfect tactical balance between close-range spellblades, long-range wands, and ancient elemental tomes, all while fine-tuning your magical properties through the deep “Luminaries” cosmic skill tree. To aid your coven against the spreading corruption, you can discover, tame, and level up an array of over 30 unique magical familiars. These creatures act as active companions right by your side, supporting your magical journey with defensive combat maneuvers, automated base crafting, and passive background resource collection.
