South Korean developer SHIFT UP has officially announced that Stellar Blade, its critically acclaimed sci-fi action-adventure game, will receive a dedicated port for the Nintendo Switch 2. The title is scheduled to launch on the platform sometime in 2026.

This announcement follows the game’s highly successful initial debut as a PlayStation 5 exclusive on April 26, 2024, and its subsequent multi-storefront PC launch across Steam and the Epic Games Store on June 11, 2025. While the existing versions were handled under Sony Interactive Entertainment’s publishing umbrella, SHIFT UP will be stepping up directly to manage this release.
Additionally, the publisher has revealed that the port will officially support native Joy-Con 2 motion controls. Rather than impacting the high-speed parry systems during core combat loops, this optional motion feature is mapped specifically to non-combat activities and interactive mini-games scattered throughout the world’s safe zones.
Stellar Blade‘s narrative arc drops players into a post-apocalyptic, technologically desolate vision of Earth that has been completely overrun by a devastating, alien force known as the Naytiba. Players assume the role of EVE, a highly agile elite warrior deployed from an orbital Airborne Squad tasked with eradicating the surface threat to reclaim the planet for humanity. The campaign blends fast-paced, stylized hack-and-slash combat with cinematic storytelling, challenging players to master complex parry windows and dodge mechanics. Deep character progression anchors the gameplay, allowing players to unlock specialized skill trees, collect mechanical exospines, and customize combat builds tailored to conquering massive, multi-stage boss encounters.
