Developer Silent Lamb has shared a new look at the Northern Isle, a key location in the upcoming underwater adventure Sirens. The narrative-driven underwater adventure comes to Steam via Early Access. A release date has yet to be announced.

While much of the game takes place beneath the waves, this preview highlights the team’s commitment to the world above water, featuring a Nordic-inspired island teeming with life, from wandering inhabitants to reactive wildlife.
In Sirens, you take control of Nyr, a mermaid who acts as a silent guardian for the island’s residents. By discovering letters hidden in floating bottles and offerings left on small altars, Nyr uncovers the personal stories, secrets, and dilemmas of people she will never meet in person. This surface-level storytelling is designed to complement the underwater exploration, tasking Nyr with healing the environment and establishing a connection between the land and the deep.
Sirens prioritizes organic interaction and freedom of movement over traditional quest markers, allowing the ocean to react dynamically to your presence. The experience blends atmospheric exploration and home base customization with a combat system where Nyr can shift into an aggressive state to defend against hostile sea creatures, evolving her abilities and appearance as the journey progresses.
