IO Interactive has officially detailed the Enthusiast and Ultra hardware requirements for 007 First Light. This latest technical breakdown gives PC players a clear look at the hardware necessary to hit specific performance targets and resolution presets, specifically focusing on 1440p and 4K setups.
At launch, the game will support an uncapped framerate and leverage NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution alongside Dynamic Multi Frame Generation to ensure a fluid experience without sacrificing image quality. Looking ahead, the studio confirmed that the ultimate visual suite – featuring Path Tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction – is scheduled to arrive later in Summer 2026.
Serving as a standalone origin story, 007 First Light casts players as a 26-year-old James Bond at the volatile start of his journey toward 00 status. After a daring act earns him a place in the MI6 training program, the former Naval air crewman must work alongside his reluctant mentor, Greenway, to dismantle a conspiracy tied to a rogue agent and an internal coup.

Developed with the signature immersive design philosophy of IO Interactive, the gameplay seamlessly blends cinematic action with stealth and improvisation. Players can choose to infiltrate international locales using high-tech gadgets and charm, or lean into high-octane firepower and vehicle chases. Mission modifiers are also included to encourage experimental replayability across different scenarios.
007 First Light is set to launch on May 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam & Epic Games Store. Players on Nintendo Switch 2 will be able to join the mission when that version arrives later this summer.
