Rewilders: The Lost Spring is currently running a playtest from April 20 to April 27, offering early access to its evolving gameplay systems ahead of its planned Early Access release on PC via Steam. A launch window was not announced.

Recently featured in an extended gameplay reveal, Rewilders: The Lost Spring introduces a world shaped by decay and gradual restoration. Set across corrupted biomes, the game follows Abi as she ventures through hostile environments, working to revive ecosystems that have fallen into ruin. The presence of the Hântu—mystical creatures once lost to extinction—forms a central part of that recovery, tying exploration directly to the world’s regeneration.
Combat and progression revolve around the interaction between Abi and her companions, blending melee, ranged, and ability-driven encounters with creature-based synergy. Each Hântu brings distinct traits into battle, allowing encounters to shift depending on team composition and environmental conditions. Traversal plays an equally important role, with tools such as gliding, grappling, and wall-running opening up new routes through interconnected regions.
Outside of active runs, a skyship hub acts as a persistent base where gathered resources translate into long-term upgrades. Plant cultivation, companion growth, and incremental enhancements shape future attempts, reinforcing a loop where each descent into the world feeds into broader progression. Developed by Herobeat, the studio behind Endling, the project blends roguelite structure with open-ended exploration and ecosystem restoration.
