Simone Bandai Namco and Game Studio have released the opening cinematic for their upcoming action RPG, Echoes of Aincrad: Sword Art Online. The footage introduces the high stakes of the floating castle of Aincrad, a world of breathtaking beauty and danger where every battle could be your last.
In this JRPG adventure, players enter a mysterious, vibrant world to shape their own fate. Rather than playing as a pre-set character, you live the experience as yourself by designing and customizing your own avatar to create a hero that reflects your vision. Combat mastery relies entirely on special skills, quick reflexes, and building deep synergy with a chosen partner. By adapting your partner’s tactics and build, you can create a team dynamic that turns real-time action combat into a triumph.
Progression is highly customizable, allowing players to adapt their equipment, weapons, statistics, and special skills to favor speed, intelligence, or endurance. Growth and leveling up are essential for survival as players wander across diverse cities and journey through stunning environments.
