Independent publisher Shueisha Games and three-person development team Acrobatic Chirimenjako have deployed a new trailer for Chapter 5 of Schrödinger’s Call, offering a glimpse at the beginning of the end for the visual novel. Currently available for purchase on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch, the debut title originally won the Grand Prize at the Shueisha Game Creators CAMP GAME BBQ Vol. 1.

The upcoming narrative addition serves as the definitive emotional climax to Mary’s journey, bringing the game’s central mysteries to a head. Set during the final 21 nanoseconds before a rogue moon crashes into Earth to eradicate all life, the plot follows Mary, an amnesiac girl who awakens in a strange room guided by an enigmatic cat named Hamlet.
Tasked with becoming the world’s final listener, Mary uses an old telephone to answer calls from strangers caught between life and death. Chapter 5 promises to reveal the hidden truths behind her forgotten past, her connection to Hamlet, and the ultimate meaning of the falling moon, challenging players to finally put down the phone.
