Independent developer Moon Catalyst has announced that its upcoming third-person survival horror title, Psycho Dead, has officially surpassed 40,000 wishlists on Steam. The game is officially targeting a release window of Winter 2026 for PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.

The milestone marks a major achievement for the core team of fewer than five developers, who have spent the last three years refining and rebuilding the game. To celebrate the benchmark, the studio has launched the massive Demo Patch 3.0 alongside a new gameplay trailer, completely overhauling the playable PC slice with enhanced performance, faster loading times, and Japanese localization.
Psycho Dead follows the haunting journey of Elixia, a young girl gifted with supernatural abilities, as she fights to escape a secret sci-fi research facility overrun by grotesque, failed experimental creatures. Built around a classic survival horror structure, the gameplay demands careful resource management, tactical backtracking, and environmental puzzle-solving. Players must leverage Elixia’s psychic toolkit—utilizing telekinetic object manipulation, defensive barriers, and ranged energy blasts – to survive aggressive, relentless stalkers.
The newly deployed 3.0 update significantly upgrades this experience, delivering smoother character animations, completely revamped UI and menu art, and vastly improved enemy AI pathfinding. The patch also introduces graphical enhancements, such as overhauled character models for both Elixia and the sinister Dr. Rose, enhanced level lighting, and polished cutscene cinematography.
A public PC demo for Psycho Dead also remains available on Steam.
