Simone Life sim Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream arrives on April 16th for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The life simulation experience lets you place Mii characters on an island where relationships, conflicts, and unpredictable social moments unfold in real time.
Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream centers around an evolving island community built from custom Mii characters. You can create residents based on friends, family, or entirely original personalities, shaping how they interact as they gradually develop their own routines, relationships, and personal dynamics across the island.
The social simulation formula expands through deep customization options, covering appearance, personality traits, voice, and behavior. Island life grows through interactive locations such as shops, restaurants, and themed spaces, alongside creative tools that let you design outfits, objects, rooms, and even environmental elements. Over time, the island becomes a reactive ecosystem where Mii characters form friendships, fall in love, argue, and drift apart based on their interactions and traits.
On Nintendo Switch 2, the game leverages improved hardware performance and includes GameChat support for Nintendo Switch Online members. A free demo, Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream – Welcome Version, is currently available via Nintendo eShop, with save data transferable to the full release.
