Publisher Kepler Interactive and developer Shapefarm have shared a new four-minute gameplay deep dive for Orbitals, offering a closer look at its co-op-focused design and anime-inspired world.

The trailer, presented by creative director Marcos Ramos and game director Jakob Lundgren, showcases how two players must work together to overcome environmental challenges, pilot spacecraft, and navigate hazardous asteroid fields. Built from the ground up for asymmetrical multiplayer, the game centers on Maki and Omura—two inexperienced but determined explorers trying to save their deteriorating space station from a supernatural cosmic storm.
Designed with cooperation at its core, Orbitals supports multiple ways to play together on Nintendo Switch 2, including local split-screen, GameShare functionality, and online matchmaking with integrated voice communication. The experience leans heavily into the look and feel of early ‘90s Japanese anime, further reinforced by handcrafted cutscenes from Studio Massket and full Japanese and English voice options.
Orbitals is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch 2 this summer.
