Publisher Megabit and developer OtherSide Entertainment have announced that Thick As Thieves, the stealth title led by Warren Spector, is shifting away from its original PvPvE focus to emphasize single-player and two-player cooperative gameplay.
Update April 9, 2026: Thick As Thieves has been officially set to launch on May 20.

According to the development update, the decision comes after the team found greater enjoyment and stronger gameplay dynamics in solo and co-op experiences as the world of Kilcairn took shape. The refined direction allows the studio to double down on its core pillar: dynamic stealth gameplay, with improved moment-to-moment interactions whether playing alone or alongside a partner.
A brand-new gameplay trailer is set to debut during the Triple-i Initiative on April 9, marking the game’s first major reappearance since its initial reveal in December 2024.
Thick As Thieves is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, with a release planned for May 20, 2026.
