Paradox Interactive and BAFTA-winning studio The Chinese Room have begun revealing the rich vampire society players will encounter in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, set in a modern-day Seattle on the brink of supernatural conflict.
The Ventrue
First up is the Clan of Kings, the Ventrue, known for their commanding presence and strategic influence. Ventrue characters start with Dominate and Presence as their clan affinities, complemented by the passive ability Flesh of Marble.
As players advance, they can unlock powerful disciplines such as Terminal Decree, which compels a mortal to end their life, Possession to control an enemy temporarily, Cloud Memory to erase your presence from a target’s mind, and Mass Manipulation to affect multiple foes at once. Their clan perk, Resilience, enhances health restored from feeding, emphasizing the Ventrue’s role as tactical leaders among Seattle’s vampires.
The Tremere
Following the Ventrue reveal, the spotlight now turns to the Clan of Warlocks, the Tremere. Seattle’s Tremere wield Dominate and Blood Sorcery as their starting abilities, with Corrosive Touch as a passive perk. Over time, players can master a series of unique magical disciplines, including Blood Curse, which causes an enemy to swell and explode after taking damage, Cauldron of Blood to boil a target’s blood and lure others, Recall to mark and return to a position, and Blood Salvo to conjure throwable blood daggers.
Tremere’s clan perk, Blood of Potency, grants a chance for the last used ability to consume double the blood during feeding, making them deadly and versatile spellcasters. Together, these clans highlight the game’s focus on choice, strategy, and supernatural powers that shape both combat and story progression.
About The Game
Set in a city teetering between war and secrecy, Bloodlines 2 allows players to navigate Seattle as an elder vampire, balancing the use of powerful Disciplines with the need to maintain the Masquerade.
Feeding fuels abilities, while reckless behavior can attract law enforcement or rival vampires. Branching choices, faction conflicts, and alliances determine the balance of power and the ultimate fate of the city, offering a deep narrative experience alongside challenging combat.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is scheduled to launch on October 21, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.
