Developer and publisher Replicant D6 has announced that Agent 64: Spies Never Die will officially release on August 11, 2026, for PC via Steam. The release comes after a grueling five-and-a-half-year development cycle, bringing a nostalgic, highly detailed tribute to classic ’90s console shooters to modern audiences.

Paying direct homage to the iconic Nintendo 64 era, Agent 64: Spies Never Die is a retro first-person shooter that places players in the polished shoes of John Walter, an elite secret agent tasked with saving the world from his arch-nemesis, Dominic Pulp.
The game features a 14-mission campaign that can be played solo or cooperatively with friends via both local split-screen and online play. Each mission offers a self-contained environment – ranging from skyscrapers and neon-lit nightclubs to ancient catacombs and snowy bases – where players must complete varied spy objectives like hacking terminals, rescuing hostages, and stealing classified plans.
To keep the gameplay authentic to its inspirations, the title features three classic difficulty levels (Agent, Special Agent, and 64 Agent). Choosing a higher difficulty doesn’t just make enemies tougher; it adds entirely new objectives and opens up previously locked areas of the maps to explore. Outside of the main campaign, players can also jump into multiplayer skirmishes, supporting up to eight players in both local split-screen and online PvP battles.
