Publisher Konami and co-developers Evil Empire and Motion Twin have announced that the Nintendo Switch version of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will launch day-and-date alongside the previously announced PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store) versions on October 15, 2026.

Set in a burning medieval Paris in the year 1499, the story follows legendary hero Trevor Belmont and his daughter, Rose Belmont, as they fight to purge the city of monstrous creatures that have emerged from a looming castle. When Rose is swept up in a dark conspiracy, she must wield the legendary Vampire Killer whip to defeat both classic and new foes.
The gameplay modernizes Castlevania’s iconic platforming and combat with fluid whip physics, letting players swing through environments and execute fast-paced attacks. Defeated legendary bosses – including Death, Medusa, Carmilla, and even Joan of Arc – are sealed into Rose’s tarot cards to activate the Arcana System, granting players spells and special actions. Additionally, players can customize their combat approach by combining equipment across seven weapon categories with stat-altering Relics, all set against a freshly reimagined, vivid Gothic art style.
