Publisher Raw Fury and developer Fool Moon have officially announced Hillthorn, a dark, card-based investigation game coming to PC via Steam. The title joins Raw Fury’s portfolio of atmospheric mystery games, alongside Blue Prince and The Seance of Blake Manor. The announcement is accompanied by a debut trailer offering a first look at the game’s unsettling, silent alpine setting.

Set along the treacherous, maze-like mountain trails of the titular location, Hillthorn tasks players with locating a missing child under a strict time constraint. The central gameplay hook revolves around a wordless narrative; the mystery unfolds entirely through visual Clue cards. Players must rely on logic and intuition to investigate, explore, and interact with these cards to piece together the truth.
As an outsider to the tight-knit local community – referred to as the “Flock” – players must use finesse to extract information from reluctant residents. The game also features a time-loop or path-revisiting mechanic, hinting that while players can retread old ground to gather missed clues, doing so will carry a distinct cost as the clock ticks down.
