Publisher 3D Realms and developer Atmos Games, led by acclaimed indie creator Thomas Brush (Pinstripe, Neversong), have announced that Twisted Tower will officially launch on PC via Steam on August 18, 2026. The announcement marks the culmination of a five-year development cycle, accompanied by a brand-new gameplay trailer highlighting the game’s stylized, nostalgic horror aesthetic.

Drawing structural and thematic inspiration from BioShock and classic Disney World iconography, Twisted Tower is a first-person, narrative-driven action-adventure set within a forgotten 1950s amusement resort. Players are tasked with scaling a lethal, floor-structured tower to rescue a lost love, navigating five distinct, hauntingly beautiful environments including a waterpark, a clown casino, a carnival forest, a space station, and a luxury hotel.
Twisted Tower‘s gameplay prioritizes punchy, bloody gunplay against corrupted, bloodthirsty fairy-tale mascots and deadly carnival rides. To survive the vertical ascent, players must utilize a variety of branching level paths and wield a specialized arsenal of upgradable, toy-inspired weaponry, such as dart-throwing Tommy guns, rubber-band pistols, bubblegum-spitting chain guns, and whack-a-mole mallets.
