Developer and publisher Pixelated Milk joined the lineup at yesterday’s Secret Sauce Showcase, debuting a brand-new gameplay trailer for its highly anticipated RPG, SacriFire. Set for a 2026 release window for PC via Steam, the stunning title offers a fresh look at its ambitious hybrid combat and dual-world exploration, further cementing itself as one of the most promising retro-inspired RPGs on the horizon.

SacriFire follows the story of Ezekiel Ridan, a young priest struggling to maintain his faith as a devastating war between gods and demons threatens his world. Heavily inspired by classic 90s titles, the game blends beautiful, hand-drawn 2D pixel-art characters with modern 3D environments and advanced digital effects. Players will travel between the subterranean, industrial city of Antioch and the serene spirit paradise of Erebus.
The core of SacriFire’s gameplay lies in its elaborate combat engine, which seamlessly merges real-time action with strategic, turn-based decision-making. Players can battle alongside diverse companions, swap between multiple weapons on the fly, and string attacks together to unleash devastating combos. Outside of battle, the experience challenges players with deep weapon crafting, puzzle-solving, and beautifully designed dungeons.
To elevate the high-quality presentation, the game features professional voice acting by Sound Cadence Studios alongside a brand-new original soundtrack co-composed by industry legend Motoi Sakuraba (Tales of series, Star Ocean).
