THQ Nordic and Tarsier Studios have announced REANIMAL, a new cooperative horror adventure game from the original creators of Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares II. The title is slated for release in Q1 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

Set in a world that blends surreal horror with emotional storytelling, REANIMAL follows a brother and sister as they navigate a nightmarish island in search of their missing friends. The journey unfolds across land and water, combining puzzle-solving and exploration with tense, atmospheric sequences designed to unsettle and immerse.
The game features a stylized, hand-crafted world that Tarsier Studios is known for, populated with disturbing creatures and haunting environments. Drawing inspiration from childhood fears and trauma, both the protagonists and the monsters they face reflect a fractured sense of reality.
REANIMAL is built for shared experience. Players can venture through the story solo or in two-player cooperative mode, either online or locally. The game uses a shared camera system to enhance tension and claustrophobia, making every moment of survival a tightly choreographed test of teamwork.
More details on the story, gameplay systems, and additional footage are expected in the lead-up to its 2026 launch.
