The latest look at Metamorphosis expands on its bleak setting, presenting a decaying world shaped by violence, isolation, and religious undertones. The story follows Aria, a nun cast out as a sinner, as she journeys toward a place known as the Golden Star, believed to be the last remaining refuge. This premise frames a world where survival and redemption are tightly intertwined.
Survival in Metamorphosis is all about trial and error. The 2D pixel art world is beautiful but hostile, filled with encounters that demand methodical progression. You’ll need to constantly adapt your loadout and abilities to overcome the odds, with each failed attempt gradually revealing the strategies needed to push further into the unknown.
Metamorphosis is headed to PC via Steam, though a specific release date has yet to be confirmed.
