DaRmaZat The Pokémon Company, together with developers Game Freak and Koei Tecmo, has announced Pokémon Pokopia for Nintendo Switch 2. The game will be available both physically and digitally in spring 2026, with digital pre-orders opening on November 12.
Pokémon Pokopia introduces a new life simulation experience set in a customizable paradise. Players take on the role of Ditto, who has transformed into a human to explore and interact with the world. By befriending different Pokémon, Ditto can learn their signature moves—such as Bulbasaur’s Leafage to grow plants or Squirtle’s Water Gun to rejuvenate dry land—using them to expand and enrich the environment.
As players gather resources, build furniture, and cultivate crops, they can create homes that attract various Pokémon to their town. The game emphasizes a cozy, slow-paced lifestyle, where communities can be shaped over time and shared with both other Pokémon and fellow players. A real-time day-and-night cycle further deepens the simulation, mirroring the player’s actual surroundings.
