Capcom has announced that both Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will launch natively for Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27, 2026.
Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition was originally released in 2017 and comes with all downloadable content, including the “Not a Hero” chapter. The title previously appeared on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Steam, and later expanded to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, cloud-based Switch, and Apple devices.
Resident Evil Village Gold Edition first debuted in 2021 and includes the “Winters’ Expansion” and “Trauma Pack.” It has been available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Steam, cloud-based Switch, and Apple platforms.
Both Gold Editions will now arrive as full native releases for Switch 2, bringing the complete survival horror experience to Nintendo’s upcoming console.
