Football Manager 26, the next entry in Sports Interactive’s long-running management simulation series, has a new gameplay trailer spotlighting its upgraded match engine. The game’s release date is TBA, and so far the title is confirmed for PC/Mac via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.

SEGA’s earlier decision to cancel Football Manager 25 and skip a year drew skepticism, but the freshly revealed footage gives weight to the company’s claim that the series needed more time to evolve. The brand-new trailer demonstrates a visual leap made possible by the move to the Unity engine, with more detailed on-pitch presentation and a noticeably richer matchday atmosphere. Features SEGA has previously teased for the franchise—like the long-requested addition of women’s football and a redesigned user interface—appear likely to carry forward into this installment.
While Football Manager has appeared on consoles and mobile in the past, the studio has only confirmed PC/Mac for now; further platform announcements and a release window are expected in the coming months as Sports Interactive shares more information.
