Paradox Interactive and developer The Chinese Room have announced another delay for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The highly anticipated RPG will now launch in October 2025, missing its previously expected release window in the first half of the year.

The news was shared in an update on all official channels (website, Discord and YouTube), accompanied by a video message from The Chinese Room’s Studio Director, Marco. In the statement, the team emphasized their commitment to delivering a polished and technically sound game, even if it means extending development further.
“Bloodlines 2 will not be ready for release in the first half of 2025,” the statement reads. “Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room are committed to delivering this game, and we believe that ensuring great technical quality is more important than sticking to a specific date.”
Currently in a late stage of development, Bloodlines 2 is undergoing extensive quality assurance, with community feedback playing a role in shaping the final experience. The delay will allow The Chinese Room to focus on stability and bug fixes to ensure the game meets the high expectations of fans. As part of this shift in the release timeline, the team has also announced a temporary pause in their development diaries to allow full focus on refining the game. However, they reassured players that they will remain available online for discussions and updates, encouraging fans to join the Bloodlines 2 Discord community for ongoing interactions.
This marks yet another delay in the long and tumultuous development of Bloodlines 2, which was originally announced in 2019. Despite the setbacks, Paradox and The Chinese Room are determined to deliver an immersive experience that lives up to the legacy of the beloved franchise.
Fans will have to wait until October 2025 to finally sink their teeth into Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Stay tuned for further updates on the game’s exact release date and future announcements.
