Bethesda Game Studios, in partnership with co-developer Virtuos, has announced that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will officially launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 11, 2026. Physical pre-orders are available now at retail, alongside digital listings on the Nintendo eShop. The remaster is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.

With this release, the classic 2006 RPG arrives on Nintendo’s platform with enhanced visuals, refined performance metrics, and bundled post-launch content. The modernized remaster introduces technical upgrades tailored specifically for the portable platform, integrating DLSS support across all play styles. In handheld mode, the game targets a resolution of 900p at 30 frames per second, while docked mode lifts the output to 1080p at 30 frames per second. For added gameplay flexibility, Virtuos has incorporated system-specific features including motion controls, touchscreen functionality, and optional left- and right-mouse emulation configurations.
The package includes the full core campaign alongside its two major expansions: Knights of the Nine and The Shivering Isles. Players can once again rise through the ranks of the Arena, complete iconic guild storylines, and explore the province of Cyrodiil to close the jaws of Oblivion.
