The monster-taming RPG Digimon Story Time Stranger is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on July 10, placing the fate of both the human and digital worlds in players’ hands when the acclaimed adventure expands to Nintendo platforms later this year. The game is already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe and developed by Media Vision Inc., Digimon Story Time Stranger invites players to step into a visually striking role-playing experience built around strategic, turn-based combat and deep creature bonding systems. Set against a large-scale crisis threatening two interconnected worlds, players take on the role of an ADAMAS agent tasked with uncovering the truth behind a catastrophic event while traveling between dimensions and even through time itself.
Throughout the journey, players can tame, raise, and battle with more than 450 Digimon, forging bonds that directly influence growth, abilities, and evolution paths. Combat emphasizes tactical decision-making, rewarding careful team composition and synergy between Digimon partners. Designed as an accessible entry point for RPG fans, the game balances narrative focus with approachable systems while still offering depth for longtime series followers.
On Nintendo Switch 2, players can choose between a Quality Mode featuring up to 4K HDR visuals at 30 frames per second while docked, or a Performance Mode delivering smoother gameplay at up to 60 frames per second in Full HD, both docked and handheld. The Nintendo Switch version delivers a tailored experience optimized for the platform while retaining the full scope of the adventure.
Pre-orders for Digimon Story Time Stranger are now available on Nintendo Switch systems, with multiple digital editions offering bonuses such as cosmetic outfits, items, and additional Digimon. A Season Pass is also planned for Nintendo Switch, adding new Digimon and story content through several DLC releases in the months following launch.
