Long Drive North, A Survival Road Trip Game, Hits Steam Early Access This November

Long Drive North, the upcoming survival road trip game from developer Mindflair Games, will launch in Early Access on Steam this November. A new trailer has been released, showcasing the game’s mix of driving, scavenging, and cooperative exploration across a post-disaster American wilderness.

Players take control of an aging but reliable RV, which serves both as transportation and shelter. Keeping it running requires hands-on maintenance, from refueling and repairing to upgrading key components scavenged from abandoned vehicles and structures. The RV is more than a vehicle—it is the lifeline that enables survival in a vast and unforgiving frontier.

Survival in Long Drive North demands more than mechanical skills. Players must manage hunger, thirst, and fatigue while braving harsh conditions. Hunting with the help of a dog companion, preparing meals from scavenged ingredients, and crafting recipes all play a crucial role in staying alive. A dangerous recurring storm adds further tension to each journey, forcing players to prepare for the unexpected.

Long Drive North can be played solo or in online co-op with up to four players, turning each expedition into a shared struggle for survival. Inspired by titles such as The Long Dark, The Long Drive, and My Summer Car, the game emphasizes immersion and realism without relying on zombies or monsters—only the brutal challenges of the road ahead.
