During the latest Indie Quest 2026 Showcase, publisher Deck13 Spotlight and solo Peruvian developer 2ndPlayerGames officially announced Full Circle, an upcoming 2.5HD indie JRPG.

Serving as the developer’s magnum opus, the title pays tribute to the PlayStation 1 golden era of the genre and is slated for a release on PC (Steam) and consoles, with its first public playable demo confirmed for Gamescom later this year.
Full Circle is set in a post-apocalyptic world where mutated beasts roam the surface, forcing humanity to seek refuge in massive flying cities. The narrative follows a group of young heroes raised with a single purpose: descend to the dangerous surface to salvage technology and keep humanity’s final havens alive. However, their routine missions quickly unravel when they discover unexpected surface survivors, rival factions, and deep-seated secrets that shatter everything they were taught to believe.
Drawing heavy creative inspiration from iconic PS1 classics like Lunar, Breath of Fire, The Legend of Dragoon, and early Final Fantasy titles, the game blends nostalgic elements with modern refinements, such as fluid controls and a striking 2.5HD pixel art style. The gameplay is built around a “Constant Flow” combat system – a strategic, turn-based battle framework layered with real-time precision mechanics. You must time your button inputs to chain strikes, unlock unique combos, and seamlessly swap party members mid-battle.
Featuring a diverse cast of characters with specific abilities used for both combat synergies and environmental puzzle-solving, the game allows you to mix and match four active and four reserve party members to customize your tactical playstyle.
