Developer Duck Reaction and publisher Perp Games have officially announced Perceptum, an upcoming psychological horror game scheduled to launch in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S. The title currently is already running an early playtest for PC on Steam.

Clocking in at around three hours, this linear indie title puts players in the shoes of a medium tasked with investigating the mysterious disappearance of an entire family from their new home – a cold case the police have long since abandoned.
Perceptum relies heavily on a sense of vulnerability and discomfort rather than traditional combat. Stripped of weapons, your only tools for survival are a pocket mirror and your own senses. Players must navigate an oppressive, reactive household where familiar spaces feel deeply wrong. To uncover hidden traces, solve puzzles, and spot horrific entities, you will need to utilize the mirror to see what is invisible to the naked eye. Alternatively, closing your eyes leaves you completely vulnerable but allows you to focus on distant whispers, altered sounds, and auditory clues from the beyond.
While the full release is slated for next year, eager horror fans can already test their instincts with an early playtest currently available on Steam.
