Developers Radical Fish Games and Little Legendary have announced a special indie crossover collaboration connecting the worlds of CrossCode (available on Steam), Alabaster Dawn (available in Early Access via Steam), and the upcoming cyber-fantasy Metroidvania SHADE Protocol.

A newly released crossover trailer offers a first glimpse into how these three pixel-art action game universes intersect. The announcement arrives just ahead of the upcoming Kickstarter campaign for SHADE Protocol, which is scheduled to launch on June 4 for PC via Steam.
The partnership brings together distinct properties known for stylish combat and expressive character designs. To accompany the visual reveal, original CrossCode and Alabaster Dawn composer SHIRAKUMO Nagi crafted the track for the teaser trailer. The production team also involved professional animation studio Studio Clickboom, known for contributing to projects such as Fate/strange Fake and HoyoFair, to handle the trailer’s animation sequence.
Little Legendary’s SHADE Protocol follows a shield-wielding heroine named Zura as she navigates a world corrupted by the SHADE virus. The gameplay features instrument-based weapons, precision parries, and a reality-bending Unison System that allows players to rewrite environmental code.
Meanwhile, Radical Fish Games is represented by its critically acclaimed retro-inspired action-RPG CrossCode, alongside its newly released Early Access title, Alabaster Dawn, which focuses on elemental combat and rebuilding a ruined world.
