Causal Loop launches on April 23, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG, introducing a narrative-driven sci-fi puzzle experience built around its central “echo” mechanic.

Set on the alien planet Tor-Ulsat, Causal Loop follows exo-archaeologist Bale, who becomes trapped within a fractured reality while investigating the remains of a lost civilization alongside his colleague Jen. Cut off from mission control and navigating an unstable environment shaped by repeating timelines, the journey unfolds through both environmental discovery and the gradual uncovering of the Tor’s fate.
Its core mechanic allows actions to be recorded and replayed as interactive echoes, enabling multiple versions of past decisions to exist simultaneously within puzzles. Up to three of these echoes can be manipulated at once, forming the basis for solving increasingly complex scenarios tied to ancient alien systems. This structure blends puzzle-solving with narrative progression, where each interaction contributes to understanding the looping reality.
Developed by Mirebound and published by Headup, the game spans fifteen handcrafted chapters, combining exploration with cinematic storytelling and fully voiced characters in multiple languages. Accessibility features, including motion sickness settings and colorblind modes, are also integrated, supporting a wider range of playstyles as the experience unfolds.
