<< Press Release >>
Publisher Kwalee and developer Powersnake have announced that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of Voidwrought will launch on March 19. The dark fantasy Metroidvania first debuted for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on October 24, 2024.

Alongside the digital console release, physical Standard and Collector’s Editions distributed by Selecta Play will launch on March 20 for PlayStation 5 and Switch. The Collector’s Edition includes an outer box, soundtrack CD, three character magnets, an embroidered patch, and a metallic pin.
In Voidwrought, players take control of the Simulacrum, a being awakened by the arrival of the ominous Red Star and driven to gather Ichor, the blood of fallen gods, from grotesque creatures that hoard it. The game blends fast-paced 2D action-platforming with Metroidvania-style exploration, challenging boss encounters, and customizable abilities.
Players descend beneath a ruined, star-scorched world into the shifting depths below, exploring eerie locations such as the corrupted Court, the frozen tunnels of the Old Waters, and the biomechanical ruins of the Abandoned Expedition. Throughout the journey, players can discover and equip more than 30 Artifacts, ranging from spectral weapons to passive enhancements that shape their playstyle.
As players progress, they can also expand a cult-like shrine hub, gathering followers and unlocking new secrets, rewards, and abilities hidden beneath the remnants of the Gray City.
Key Features Include:
- Smooth, responsive traversal and combat-focused platforming
- Hand-drawn biomes spanning multiple corrupted regions
- Over 70 enemy types and 10 boss encounters
- More than 30 active and passive Artifacts to customize abilities
- A shrine-building progression system that unlocks new content
- An atmospheric soundtrack by Jouni Valjakka, known for his work on Neverinth and Vigil: The Longest Night
