Chengdu-based developer Eclipse Glow Games has released a new behind-the-scenes video for Tides of Annihilation, confirming that the single-player fantasy action-adventure title will be publicly playable for the first time this summer.

The newly released development video dives deep into a technical collaboration between the studio, Unreal Engine, and NVIDIA. Producer Kun Fu, Lead Technical Artist Kai Yuan, and Unreal Engine China’s Technical Director Wei Liu discussed how the partnership focuses on driver-level and in-engine optimization to achieve a smooth experience across various hardware configurations.
The video also showcases technical progress in CPU and GPU optimization, fine-tuned animation systems, upscaling, and path tracing. Notably, the team highlighted the creation of a brand-new Nanite-based hierarchical setup specifically engineered to render the game’s giant knights with immense visual fidelity.
Set in a reality where London lies in ruins following a cataclysmic “Outworld invasion,” the game follows Gwendolyn on a high-stakes quest driven by personal vengeance and a mission to save her sister. Players will travel across two interconnected worlds—the fog-shrouded modern metropolis and the mythical realm of Avalon—to unravel the mystery behind her newfound powers.
Tides of Annihilation is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, with a release date still to be announced.
