Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV Launches This Week

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is getting an expanded re-release this week with Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV, launching March 26, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, with digital and physical editions available via the Nintendo eShop (NL-BE, NL-NL, US) and retailers.

This updated version introduces new content, improved visuals, and additional multiplayer-focused features, building on the original game’s foundation.

New Bellabel Park Content

The headline addition is Bellabel Park, a new area within the Flower Kingdom that focuses on social and multiplayer gameplay.

Players can explore:

A local play hub featuring 17 attractions for up to four players on a single system
An online play zone with six attractions supporting up to 12 players online or eight via local wireless
Toad Brigade challenges designed for cooperative play with up to four players

Enhanced Features and New Play Options

The Switch 2 edition also upgrades the core experience with improved visuals and new gameplay elements.

Key additions include:

Playable Rosalina, accompanied by a second player as an invulnerable Helper Luma
A new Assist Mode, allowing players to avoid damage and recover automatically from falls
New power-ups such as the Super Drill Hat
Dual badges combining abilities for expanded gameplay strategies

GameShare functionality allows two to four players to enjoy the game together using a single copy, whether exploring the main adventure or taking on side activities.

Amiibo and Companion Features

Alongside the release, new amiibo figures will be available, including Elephant Mario, Goomba Boss, Talking Flower, Poplin, and Prince Florian.

The Talking Flower will also be released as a standalone interactive item, capable of responding with voice lines, greetings, and basic information like time and temperature.

Upgrade Path Available

Players who already own Super Mario Bros. Wonder on the original Nintendo Switch can purchase an upgrade pack to access all new content and features on Nintendo Switch 2.
