Super Mario Bros. Wonder Switch 2 Edition Overview Trailer Highlights New Content

Nintendo has released a new overview trailer for Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, set to launch on March 26, highlighting new gameplay features, characters, and enhancements coming to the upgraded version.

One of the biggest additions is the arrival of all seven Koopalings, who now appear as bosses across new courses throughout the Flower Kingdom. Players can tackle these battles solo, with friends locally, or online with up to 11 live player shadows appearing in levels. The trailer also introduces the Super Flower Pot power-up, which transforms characters into a flower form capable of extending jumps with fluttering movements and attacking enemies by launching large flowers.

Another new feature is Dual Badges, allowing players to combine Action, Boost, and Expert badges to create different gameplay effects. These combinations can either simplify difficult sections or introduce new challenges for experienced players. A new social hub called Bellabel Park expands the world with multiplayer attractions and activities. Here players can complete more than 70 training courses, earn Bellabel Water, and grow decorative flowers that bring the park to life. The Switch 2 edition also expands the playable roster. In addition to returning characters, Rosalina and Co-Star Luma join the lineup.

Beyond gameplay additions, the updated version takes advantage of the new hardware. When docked to a compatible display, the game can run in up to 4K resolution, with improved frame rates and faster load times on the Nintendo Switch 2. It also supports GameShare, allowing friends to join multiplayer sessions even if they do not own the game.

Nintendo also confirmed three new amiibo figures launching alongside the game on March 26: Elephant Mario, Poplin & Prince Florian, and Captain Toad & Talking Flower. Scanning them in Bellabel Park unlocks cosmetic changes and bonuses.
