Simone Nintendo has confirmed that Yoshi and the Mysterious Book will launch on May 21, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2. The release date was revealed during celebrations for MAR10 Day.
In this new adventure, players take control of Yoshi as he explores the pages of a magical talking book named Mr. E. Each page represents a different habitat filled with unusual creatures waiting to be discovered.
Rather than simply defeating enemies, players are encouraged to experiment and interact with the creatures in various ways. You can pick them up, feed them fruit, smash objects around them, or observe how they react to the environment. These interactions help Yoshi learn more about each species living inside the book.
By experimenting with the creatures and environments, players will make discoveries, collect Stars, clear habitats, and unlock additional pages within Mr. E’s book. The game even allows players to name the creatures they encounter, adding a light discovery and collection element to the experience.
However, Yoshi won’t be exploring alone. Bowser Jr. also appears throughout the habitats, raising questions about what mischief he might be planning inside the mysterious book.
