Simone Developer and publisher Sunnyside Games has announced that its hand-drawn Metroidvania sequel Nocturnal 2 will launch on November 10, 2026.
The 2D side-scrolling action-adventure puts players in control of Ardeshir, a master of the Enduring Flame, as he travels through the shadowed depths and crumbling heights of the cursed city of Ytash to lift a consuming darkness. Featuring fluid acrobatic traversal, precise hack-and-slash combat, and a minimalist design philosophy that rewards environmental exploration, the game builds upon its predecessor’s core mechanics by blending fire manipulation, elemental puzzles, and Persian-inspired architectural landscapes.
Nocturnal 2 launches November 10, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
