Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 Announced for Consoles and PC, Launches August 27

Konami has officially announced Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, the second installment in its legacy collection series. The collection is set to launch on August 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

Headlining the release is the first-ever port of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, bringing the long PlayStation 3–exclusive title to modern platforms. The collection also includes the HD Collection version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, alongside the classic handheld entry Metal Gear: Ghost Babel.

In addition to the core games, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 comes bundled with a range of digital bonus content. Players will gain access to in-depth reference materials and archival documents, including the Metal Gear Solid 4 Database, multiple screenplay and master books for both Guns of the Patriots and Peace Walker, as well as Metal Gear Solid: Digital Soundtrack Vol. 2. All digital materials are accessible through the in-game start menu, with the soundtrack playable via a dedicated sound player.

Online functionality is supported in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (HD Collection version), allowing cooperative play for up to six players. Konami also notes that versions of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for other regions may be available as separate downloads, depending on platform storefronts.
