The metroidvania sequel GRIME II is set to release on March 31 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with publisher Kwalee and developer Clover Bite confirming the additional console versions alongside the previously announced PC release.

In GRIME II, players take on the role of a Formless, a being capable of absorbing enemies and reshaping them into molds that can be used in combat and exploration. Set in a new and mysterious region within the GRIME universe, the game blends atmospheric worldbuilding with challenging encounters, encouraging players to experiment with different abilities and strategies.
Combat revolves around using absorbed enemy forms as powerful tools, allowing players to unleash special attacks, summon allies, or manipulate the battlefield. The environment itself plays a key role, offering opportunities to damage enemies or gain positional advantages, while also posing similar threats to the player.
Players can further shape their experience through a wide range of customization options, including dozens of weapons, armor pieces, and abilities. Combined with mechanics like parrying and absorbing enemies through grasping tendrils, the sequel builds on the original’s systems while expanding its depth and scale.
