Invincible VS Open Beta Announced for April 9 as Allen the Alien Joins the Roster

Skybound Entertainment and developer Quarter Up have announced that a public open beta for Invincible VS will begin on April 9, 2026 for Xbox Series X and Series S and PlayStation 5. Alongside the beta announcement, fan-favorite character Allen the Alien has been revealed as the newest confirmed fighter in the game’s roster.

Based on the comic series created by Robert Kirkman, Invincible VS is a 3v3 tag-team fighting game featuring characters from the Invincible universe. Players assemble teams of heroes and villains and switch fighters mid-battle to build combos and tactical advantages.

Allen the Alien joins the lineup as a Striker-type fighter, using his mobility, brute strength, and grappling abilities to overwhelm opponents. His aggressive playstyle focuses on pressure and mix-ups, allowing skilled players to chain together powerful combo sequences.

Within the story of Invincible, Allen was created in a Unopan facility as part of an experiment to develop a warrior capable of challenging the powerful Viltrumite empire. Despite his origins, he later becomes one of Mark Grayson’s strongest allies through his service with the Coalition of Planets.

At launch, the game will feature 18 playable fighters, including characters such as Mark Grayson (Invincible), Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Battle Beast, Robot, and Monster Girl. During the open beta, players will be able to try 10 characters, including Allen the Alien.
