Publisher and developer Stormind Games, together with Soft Source Publishing, have announced Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, the third installment in the Remothered series following Remothered: Tormented Fathers and Remothered: Broken Porcelain. The game is planned for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.

The story takes place thirteen months after the disappearance of six young girls in Sicily. When a mysterious recording suggests that her missing daughter might still be alive, Susan decides to investigate the place where the tragedy may have begun: a decaying noble residence on the slopes of Mount Etna that once belonged to the Ashmann family.
Her search quickly turns into a descent into psychological horror. The isolated estate hides a complex web of family secrets, supernatural phenomena, and relentless stalkers. As Susan explores the estate and its surroundings, reality begins to fracture, forcing her to confront disturbing truths tied to the origins of the Red Nun legend.
Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy combines classic survival horror elements with stealth-focused gameplay and puzzle-solving. Players must evade deadly pursuers, hide from stalkers, and survive tense encounters while exploring the environment for clues and key items.
The game also introduces new mechanics centered around perception and hypnosis. By interacting with objects and environments, players can reveal forgotten memories, uncover hidden passages, and reinterpret parts of the world around them to progress through the story. Exploration plays a central role as players uncover the history of the Cristo Morente convent, a location tied to the origins of the Red Nun myth and the broader mystery surrounding the disappearances.
