DaRmaZat 505 Pulse and developer AvantGarden have announced a publishing partnership for Nordic folklore–inspired survival adventure Among the Trolls. Alongside the announcement, a playable demo is now available on Steam ahead of Steam Next Fest, which begins February 23.
The demo features selected, non-consecutive sections of the game designed to showcase a range of gameplay scenarios, from quiet exploration to more intense survival moments. Some content has been adapted specifically for the demo and may differ from the final release.
Among the Trolls is a first-person survival adventure set in the Finnish wilderness, where the environment itself plays an active role. Players must manage hunger, thirst, and exhaustion while exploring dense forests, gathering resources, and crafting tools and shelter. The demo also introduces the opening of protagonist Anna’s journey, as she searches for her missing family in a world where Nordic folklore and reality intersect.
According to the developers, the demo reflects a curated slice of the planned Early Access experience, emphasizing environmental storytelling, survival systems, and atmospheric tension. The game is currently planned to launch in Steam Early Access in summer 2026.
