Developer and publisher Hatchery Games has announced that monster-taming action RPG Voidling Bound will launch for PC via Steam on June 9. Versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2 are planned to follow at a later date.

An updated PC demo is currently available as part of Steam Next Fest: February 2026 Edition. Progress made in the demo will carry over to the full release. The revised demo introduces a new animated narrative opening, full support for nine languages, access to Gilick’s Cryo Branch, a newly added enemy faction, expanded map areas beyond the main quest path, and substantial performance optimizations. Audio, visual effects, and animation improvements have also been implemented.
Voidling Bound positions players as a “Space Wrangler” who forms a neural bond with alien creatures known as Voidlings. Humanity, facing extinction from a devastating parasite, must rely on these newly discovered lifeforms as its last line of defense. Through this bond, players directly control Voidlings in fast-paced third-person combat across corrupted planets.
Gameplay blends real-time action with deep customization systems. Players can shoot, slash, slam, dash, block, and parry while navigating diverse biomes and hostile arenas. Each Voidling can evolve along branching paths that alter elemental alignment, appearance, abilities, and overall playstyle. Mutated perks and ability genes further expand build variety, encouraging experimentation and specialization for different combat scenarios.
Progression revolves around leveling Voidlings and distributing attribute points across categories such as strength, vitality, essence, recuperation, and agility. Research systems unlock additional upgrades, while crafting mechanics allow players to tailor creatures for specific mission challenges.
Exploration and collection are also central pillars. Players cleanse handcrafted planets filled with varied enemy types, recover eggs from infested zones, and hatch new Voidlings with unique “natures”. Breeding systems allow combinations of traits and attributes to create increasingly powerful specimens. A dedicated Vivarium tracks collected Voidlings, body parts, cosmetic genes, and ability mutations, enabling advanced genetic crafting and synergy-based builds.
