DaRmaZat The roguelite third-person shooter Armatus will receive a limited-time demo on PC via Steam starting February 23 as part of Steam Next Fest: February 2026 Edition. The full game is scheduled to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
Published by Fictions and developed by Counterplay Games, Armatus drops players into the demon-infested ruins of Paris, where they assume the role of the last supernatural warrior of an ancient order. Armed with powerful firearms and celestial abilities, players must battle through a decaying city overrun by hellish forces while searching for the legendary Sunless Gate, a lost gateway to heaven.
The demo invites players to experiment with a range of weapons, upgrades, and supernatural powers while carving through waves of demonic enemies. Structured around the roguelite loop of fighting, dying, reviving, and refining builds, the experience culminates in a showdown against a greater demon known as The Monument. The limited-time build will remain playable until March 2.
Players eager to jump in early can sign up for playtests through Firstlook, granting access beginning February 20 at 10am PST. Those who register may also be considered for future playtests tied to the full release.
