Publisher Shueisha Games and developer ACQUIRE have revealed Yakoh Shinobi Ops, a hardcore four-player cooperative stealth action title scheduled to launch in 2027. Currently in development for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, this new project from the pioneers of the stealth genre focuses on infiltration and survival rather than direct combat, challenging players to navigate dangerous environments as a synchronized team of ninjas.

In Yakoh Shinobi Ops, a group of four shinobi must infiltrate enemy territory while avoiding detection from sentries and deadly traps. The core gameplay loop revolves around the philosophy that a true shinobi does not need to kill, instead relying on concealment and deception to bypass obstacles.
Each character possesses unique Ninjutsu abilities, such as grappling hooks for verticality, smokescreens for tactical support, and flash grenades to distract foes. Success depends on players understanding their specific roles and acting in perfect harmony to overcome impossible odds.
The experience is heightened by the presence of undying “Hunters” who relentlessly pursue the team throughout their mission. Direct confrontation with these pursuers results in certain death, forcing players to use their environment and shadow-based movement to remain unseen.
Completing the objective is only part of the task, as the team must work together to escape the stronghold alive to truly fulfill their duty. By blending cinematic tension with deep cooperative mechanics, the title aims to deliver a modern evolution of classic ninja stealth gameplay.
