Konami and ZeDrimeTim have confirmed that action adventure platformer Darwin’s Paradox! will launch on April 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The title, which was previously delayed from its original 2025 window to 2026 and saw its planned Switch version replaced by a Switch 2 release, now has a firm launch date alongside pricing set at $24.99/£19.99/€24.99/ ¥3,960. A Metal Gear Solid-themed demo is available today, February 13.

The newly released demo introduces a special slice of gameplay described as “tactical octopus action,” offering an early look at the stealth-infused mechanics and environmental puzzle design that define the experience. Pre-orders are live and include two exclusive skins, Psyched and Dotted.
In Darwin’s Paradox!, players follow Darwin, an unusually intelligent octopus who is abruptly torn from the ocean depths by a mysterious beam of light and deposited inside a sprawling industrial junkyard overshadowed by a menacing factory complex. Stranded far from his natural habitat, Darwin must rely on swimming, camouflage, agility, and adaptive problem-solving to navigate mechanical hazards, evade hostile creatures, and infiltrate dangerous environments.
What begins as a desperate attempt to return to the sea gradually evolves into a larger narrative involving hidden experiments and a conspiracy that may have consequences far beyond Darwin’s personal survival. With its handcrafted visual style, cinematic tone, and blend of platforming and puzzle-driven progression, the game positions itself as an atmospheric adventure built around both tension and emotional resonance.
